The sweetest sacrifice
Wool,
as soft as the pillow I lay my head on
To sleep,
and dream of the day we bring you home
Too long,
without being able to lay with you and frolic
So strong,
you’ve shown us how brave we need to be
Mom is sleep deprived,
dad is working hard
Stella and grandma,
sacrifice their time with us,
for what little time we get with you
Sweet,
the micro expressions you have no control over
They light a fire in our soul
